2003 Daytona 600

This bike came to me in March 2018 as a part exchange for my TT600.

With the bike, came a fair few troubles, one of which was the bike cutting out on right hand bends (somewhat dangerous!). It’s livery as I got it was not exactly to my taste, so the first issue I tackled were those two items!

After sorting those items, as well as an ‘errant’ wheel bearing, it was time to look at the good old Triumph fuel map! Under 4k revs, no power and lots of fluttering. It seems that Triumph really couldn’t get a handle on these maps, as it was terrible!

A few tweaks here and there and it gave the bike a new lease of life. And as such, the bike stayed with me for quite a while, although it looked a little different to how I got the bike, and had a fair few repairs, it was a great little 600.

For more information on the changes to the paint scheme I made, as well as some of the other fixes, see the repair and refurbish pages!

As of 23rd May 2020 – This bike is no longer in my possession. Lack of both space to keep and time to use, I decided to let the Daytona go. I truly did enjoy the bike, but it simply wasn’t practical to keep it.

Believe the bike it still being enjoyed by it’s new owner who was over the moon with the condition for age/mileage. Glad it’s gone to a happy home somewhere north!
